Charlotte joined the Heat Pump Association in April 2023 as their first Chief Executive. Having spent the previous 10 years at NAPIT, a UKAS accredited Certification Body for installers in the Building Services and Fabric sectors, culminating in leading their external affairs function, Charlotte has a wealth of knowledge in the practicalities and policy that surrounds the retrofitting of the UK housing stock, specifically relating the heat pumps.

With a strong understanding of the vital role of the installer and the importance of consumer demand and industry collaboration in affecting change, Charlotte brings a valuable perspective, commitment and passion in leading the Association to support the sector in accelerating heat pump deployment within the UK.

Her extensive background also includes leading policy initiatives for the Association for Consultancy and Engineering in the UK Devolved Nations, where she spearheaded workstreams on decarbonising the built environment and transport. Olivia holds a Master’s degree in Politics and Contemporary History from the University of Nottingham, providing her with a strong foundation for her role in shaping and communicating HPA’s policy directions.

As Policy and Communications Executive, Chloe bridges the gap between fast-moving policy developments and effective communication. She works across the association’s design, social media, and newsletter communications while supporting policy development to advance low carbon heating solutions.

With an MSc in Policy Research from the University of Bristol, Chloe combines a strong foundation in research methods with practical experience in sustainability and marketing. Previously working as a Marketing Executive at an environmental data consultancy, she managed outreach campaigns, digital content, and stakeholder engagement. Her expertise in strategic communication and sustainability is instrumental in advancing the association’s goals.

Nancy has over 25 years of experience in the heating sector, including working for a number of large global heat pump manufacturers.

She now works as Technical Consultant for the Heat Pump Association providing technical advice to its leadership team and membership. Nancy has a strong knowledge of heat pump and renewables policy development as well as a sound understanding of both the commercial and technical context.

Nancy holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering and is a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute (FCMI).

With over 17 years’ experience in the heating industry, Craig has held various roles in Marketing and Product Management, successfully developing and launching cutting-edge ground source, air source, and refrigerant split heat pumps for the UK market. Currently, he is Senior Product Manager of Heat Pumps at Glen Dimplex.

In his role as Chair of the HPA, Craig champions low carbon heating solutions and the heat pump sector’s interests actively engaging with Government and policymakers on the methods to reach net zero by 2050.

Mark has over 35 years experience in the European heating industry and has worked in roles across the UK, Ireland, Belgium, Netherlands, Scandinavia, Germany and Turkey. He is currently Technologies and Training Director at Vaillant.

Mark’s expertise encompasses Product Management, Training and Business Development across traditional and low carbon heating solutions in both the domestic and light commercial markets.

As Vice Chair of the HPA, he represents the heat pump industry within Government forums and advocates for training across the supply chain.
