Heat Pump Association to host ‘taster’ training workshops at InstallerSHOW
The Heat Pump Association invites installers to sign up to free taster training sessions during their visits to this year’s InstallerSHOW.
Installers attending the InstallerSHOW will be able to get a taste of what it’s like to train to become a heat pump installer this year, with the Heat Pump Association (HPA) hosting a total of six ‘taster’ training workshops over the course of three days.
The Heat Pump Association launched its new training course in August last year as part of its ambition to equip the heating industry with the skills needed to roll out 600,000 heat pumps per year by 2028.
The course, recognised by Business and Energy Secretary, Kwasi Kwarteng as ‘absolutely critical’ in the endeavour to meet the Government’s heat pump target, is available across 38 training centres across the UK. The HPA is offering installers the chance to find out more about the training before signing up for a course by attending workshops taking place exclusively at the InstallerSHOW.
The Heat Pump Association (HPA) is the UK’s leading authority on the use and benefits of heat pump technology and includes many of the country’s leading manufacturers of heat pumps, components and associated equipment.
Phil Hurley, Chair of the Heat Pump Association said:
“The Heat Pump Association looks forward to attending the InstallerSHOW every year, but especially this time. Installers are at the heart of the journey to net-zero and we want to do everything we can as an association to support them as the market changes and new skills are required.
“The heat pump training scheme we launched last year was a huge part of this and we’re hopeful that installers jump on the opportunity to gain the skills needed to shape a low carbon future.
“We encourage anyone attending or thinking about attending to come and meet us at the show and to get a real taste of what it’s like to train to become a heat pump installer. We look forward to seeing you there!”
Mike Costain, InstallerSHOW MD said:
“InstallerSHOW is delighted to be partnering with the Heat Pump Association at this year’s event,” “Getting to grips with heat pumps will be a priority for many installers, so giving them the chance to experience some valuable hands-on training on what will be a key appliance in delivering net zero is a huge benefit.
“InstallerSHOW is featuring many of the industry’s leading heat pump manufacturers – and each one can provide installers with valuable installation and technical advice.”
